*NEW The Crimson Ghost 1946 Complete 4 dvds for $9.99

The Crimson Ghost (colorized) A1l 12 shows on 4 Dvds very good quality

A criminal mastermind known as The Crimson Ghost is out to steal a device called the Cyclotrode, which can short-circuit all electrical current on the planet.

The Crimson Ghost was budgeted at $137,912, although the final negative cost was $161,174 (a $23,262, or 16.9%, overspend). It was the most expensive Republic serial of 1946 It was filmed between 28 March and 24 April 1946 under the working title The Scarlet Shadow. The serial's production number was 1597. Like the characters on screen, the viewer would have had a tough job spotting the person hiding behind the hideous disguise. The studio had taken no chances with this and cast stunt-man Bud Geary to embody the villain while several actors supplied the voice, including I. Stanford Jolley, whose role was minor but who received fourth-billing and was therefore highly suspect. When The Crimson Ghost was unmasked in the 12th and final chapter, he proved to be yet another actor (Joseph Forte) who had enacted a character seemingly above suspicion. (Frankly, the ending is so rushed and anticlimactic one could be forgiven if the character isn't even recognized.

The serial ends within a minute of his unmasking.) Of interest to more recent viewers, television's Lone Ranger, Clayton Moore, played one of the villain's henchmen, a cold-hearted gangster. This was director William Witney's last serial. His first was The Painted Stallion in 1937 and a gap due to serving in World War II had existed prior to this production

*NEW Zorro Rides Again (1937) 4 dvds $9.99

All 12 Shows of the Great Old Western
Excellent Quality on 4 Dvds

In contemporary (for the 1937 production) California, villain J. A. Marsden aims to take over the California-Yucatan Railroad with the aid of his henchman El Lobo. The rightful owners, Joyce and Phillip Andrews, naturally object. Their parter, Don Manuel Vega summons his nephew, James Vega, to help them as he is the great grandson of the original Zorro, Don Diego de la Vega. He is disappointed, however, to find that his nephew is a useless fop (presumably Don Manuel had not paid too much attention to his family history).

Nevertheless, James Vega installs himself in the original Zorro's hideout and adopts the Zorro identity to defeat Marsden and El Lobo. This Zorro uses twin pistols and (like the original Zorro) a whip as his main weapons of choice, rather than a more traditional sword.

Zorro Rides Again (1937) is a 12-chapter film serial. It was the eighth of the sixty-six Republic serials, the third with a western theme (a third of Republic's serials were westerns) and the last produced in 1937. The serial was directed by William Witney & John English and starred John Carroll as a modern descendant of the original Zorro. The plot is a fairly standard western storyline about a villain attempting to illicitly take valuable land (in this case a new railroad). The setting is a hybrid of modern (1930s) and western elements that was used occasionally in B-Westerns.

The show took a tongue-in-cheek outlook, with Barry's Masterson dressed in expensive Eastern clothing and preferring to use his cane rather than a gun to get himself out of trouble (also the case with the real Masterson), hence the nickname "Bat." Masterson was also portrayed as a ladies' man who traveled the West looking for women and adventure. The black derby, fancy vest, black jacket, and elegant cane were his trademarks (and were widely marketed in miniature to child viewers as tie-in products during the run of the show). Barry went on to star in Burke's Law, a detective series set in modern-day Los Angeles.

SALE PRICED AT $39.99

A SELECTION OF 100 SHOWS ON 26 DVDS
QUALITY IS 7.5 OF 10

Ben Casey was a medical drama series which ran on ABC from 1961 to 1966. The show was known for its iconic opening titles, which consisted of a hand drawing symbols on a chalkboard, as cast member Sam Jaffe intoned, "Man, woman, birth, death, infinity." Pioneering neurosurgeon Joseph Ransohoff was a medical consultant for the show and may have influenced the personality of the title character.

The series starred Vince Edwards as medical doctor Ben Casey, a young, intense but idealistic surgeon at County General Hospital. His mentor was Doctor David Zorba, played by Sam Jaffe. At the beginning of the 1965 season, Jaffe left the show and Franchot Tone replaced Zorba as new Chief of Surgery, Doctor Daniel Niles Freeland. The show began running multi-episode stories and Casey developed a romantic relationship with Jane Hancock (Stella Stevens), who had just emerged from a coma after thirteen years.

quality is a 8.5 out of 10

The Bionic Woman is an American television series which spun off from The Six Million Dollar Man. It starred Lindsay Wagner as Jaime Sommers, a tennis professional who was nearly killed in a skydiving accident, and was rebuilt by Oscar Goldman (Richard Anderson) and Dr. Rudy Wells (Martin E. Brooks), who had also rebuilt The Six Million Dollar Man. As the result of her surgical implantation, Jaime Sommers had amplified hearing, a greatly strengthened right arm, and enhanced legs, enabling her to run faster than a speeding car. The series ran on ABC for 2 seasons, from 1976 to 1977, and then it was picked-up for airing on NBC from 1977 to 1978, for just one season. Its run on ABC was successful with good ratings, coming in as the fifth most-watched show of in its first season, and finishing in the top 15 (#14) at the end of its second season, [1]. At the end of its second season, ABC decided not to renew the show, feeling it was no longer attracting the kind of demographics that ABC wanted. [1] Competing network NBC revived the show for its third and final season.

The show centered around Tom Corbett (Bill Bixby), a magazine publisher and widower from Los Angeles who had shouldered the responsibility of raising his freckled-faced, six-year-old son, Eddie (Brandon Cruz), who often cleverly manipulated his father. Eddie's popularity grew, when he persuaded his own father to start dating women, being lovingly connected with prosperous brides, and even started having a charisma with other women. Tom's domestic arrangements were managed, highly competently, by his wonderful housekeeper, Mrs. Livingston (Miyoshi Umeki), who was very diplomatic and full of sage advice (compare to handyman, Dwayne Schneider on the long-running dramedy show, One Day At A Time). At work, Tom would usually work with Tina Rickles (Kristina Holland), who was his secretary at a magazine company. And very often, Norman Tinker (James Komack), who was the head of another family, worked as a radical photographer at the same company that both Tom & Tina worked in.

 Dr Kildare (1961) on 32 Dvds $48.99

SELECTION OF 165 + EPISODES on 32 dvds
Quality 6-8 out of 10

Dr. Kildare came to television after having been an extremely successful series of movies in the 1940's. There was something immensely appealing about the story of a young intern in a large metropolitan hospital trying to learn his profession, deal with problems of the patients and win the respect of the senior doctor in his specialty, internal medicine. Kildare was the young intern, Dr. Gillespie was the father figure and Blair General the hospital in which they practiced medicine. During the course of its run, Dr. Kildare went through an evolutionary process. By the third season Kildare was promoted to resident. His intern buddies from the first season, Dr. Agurski and Dr. Gerson were not seen in the subsequent seasons as the program came to center more closely on the patients and their families. In the 1965-66 season the show was aired twice a week as a half hour program rather than once a week for an hour

The series stars British actor Edward Woodward as Robert McCall, a former secret agent of an unnamed organization, which was often referred to simply as "The Company", who tries to atone for past sins by offering, free of charge, his services as a troubleshooter (often literally), a protector, and an investigator. People in need find him through a newspaper ad: "Got a problem? Odds against you? Call the Equalizer." In the pilot episode (as he "opens for business"), we discover that the nickname "Equalizer" was bestowed on him by another operative, played by comedian Jerry Stiller. Aided by a group of sometimes-mysterious contacts (some of whom date back to his spying days), McCall traverses the streets of New York City, visiting justice upon hoodlums, rapists, racists, murderers, kidnappers, drug dealers, and other truly deserving people. His contacts are also prone to human foibles, ranging from egotism to domestic problems.

Robert McCall is "The Equalizer", a private detective with a lot of contacts who is available for hire if you have a problem that you don't know how to solve. His no-nonsense attitude, compassion, and experience with dealing with a wide variety of situations makes him a powerful and useful detective.!

Efrem Zimbalist Jr. as Inspector Lewis Erskine

Produced by Quinn Martin and based in part on concepts from the 1959 Warner Bros. theatrical film The FBI Story, the series was an authentic telling of or fictionalized accounts of actual F.B.I. cases, with fictitious main characters carrying the stories. Efrem Zimbalist, Jr. played Inspector Lewis Erskine, while Philip Abbott played Arthur Ward, assistant director to F.B.I. chief J. Edgar Hoover. Although Hoover served as series consultant until his death in 1972, he was never seen in the series. Stephen Brooks played Inspector Erskine's assistant, Special Agent Jim Rhodes, for the first two seasons. Lynn Loring played Inspector Erskine's daughter and Rhodes' love interest, Barbara, in the first few episodes of the show. That romantic angle was soon dropped. In 1967, Brooks was replaced by veteran actor William Reynolds, who played Special Agent Tom Colby until 1973. The series would enjoy its highest ratings during this time, peaking at No. 10 in the 1970-1971 season. For the final season, Shelly Novack played Special Agent Chris Daniels. Some episodes ended with a "most wanted" segment hosted by Zimbalist, noting the F.B.I.'s most wanted criminals of the day..

SELECTION OF 64 EPISODES Quality is 8 OF 10
aired from: Sep 1964 to: Apr 1967
Quality of 8 of 10

Flipper was filmed in Miami at Greenwich Studios, (as Ivan Tors Studios). Nassau was an occasional location. The show was produced in cooperation with Miami Seaquarium, an aquarium located on Virginia Key in Biscayne Bay, Miami, Florida.
Role of Flipper
Flipper was played mainly by a female dolphin named Susie, and occasionally by other females named Patty, Kathy, Scotty and Squirt. The five dolphins performed all of Flipper's thespian chores except the famous tail walk, a trick they were unable to master completely. A male dolphin named Clown was brought in for scenes involving the tail walk.[1] The famous "voice" of Flipper was actually the song of a Kookaburra bird. Female dolphins were chosen because females are less aggressive than males and their skins (unlike the skins of male dolphins) are usually free of disfigurations acquired in altercations with other dolphins. The dolphins used on the show were trained by Richard O'Barry. Ranger Porter Ricks is responsible for the animal and human life in Coral Key Park, Florida. Stories center on his 15-year-old son Sandy and 10-year-old Bud and, especially, on their pet dolphin Flipper (played by Suzy).

The Flying Nun is a sitcom produced by Screen Gems for ABC based on the book The Fifteenth Pelican, by Tere Rios. The sitcom ran for three seasons, and produced 82 color episodes from 1967 until 1970...
Sister Bertrille, a native of Chicago, arrived from New York City after having been arrested for being involved in a protest. It was also later learned in the episode "My Sister, the Sister" that Sister Bertrille had come from a family of doctors and is the only one who did not follow in their footsteps. Also, it was revealed in the same episode that her real name was Elsie Ethrington. She could be relied upon to solve any problem that came her way by her ability to catch a passing breeze and fly (attributed to her small stature and heavily starched cornette—the headgear for her habit). Her flying talents caused as many problems as they solved. She once explained her ability to fly as, "When lift plus thrust is greater than load plus drag, anything can fly." The reason behind that statement was that Sister Bertrille weighed only 90 pounds, and in one episode tried to gain more weight so she could stay grounded, but those attempts proved to be a failure.

The Fugitive is an American television series produced by QM Productions and United Artists Television that aired on ABC from 1963-1967. David Janssen starred as Dr. Richard Kimble, an innocent man from the fictional town of Stafford, Indiana, who is falsely convicted of his wife's murder and given the death penalty. En route to death row, Kimble's train derails and crashes, allowing him to escape and begin a cross-country search for the real killer, a "one-armed man" (played by Bill Raisch). At the same time, Dr. Kimble is hounded by the authorities, most notably by Stafford Police Lieutenant Philip Gerard (Barry Morse). There was nothing special about the first episode which started with Kimble having been on the run for six months. Not until episode 14 "The Girl from Little Egypt" does the viewer finally get the full details of Richard Kimble's plight. Through a series of flashbacks the viewer can see that fateful night and for the first time see "the one armed man."

The Fugitive aired for four seasons, and a total of 120 episodes were produced. The first three seasons were filmed in black and white, while the final season was in color.

 Hawaiian Eye (1959) on 28 Dvds $43.99

All 134 Shows on 28 Dvds
Quality rating is 7-9 of 10..

Set against the beautiful tropical landscape of Honolulu, Hawaii, this series centered around the cases of Hawaiian Eye Private Investigations and the two handsome, slick, tough-guy detectives who ran the firm - Thomas Jefferson Lopaka (Robert Conrad), or Tom for short, and Tracy Steele (Anthony Eisley), a Korean War veteran and former city police detective. They operated out of a swank office at the Hawaiian Village Hotel, where they were also the house detectives. Assisting them occasionally was a funny, ukelele-strumming Hawaiian taxi driver named Kazuo Kim (Poncie Ponce), whose wardrobe - consisting of a straw hat and crazy Hawaiian shirts - and numerous relatives living all over the Hawaiian Islands willing to help his employers if they needed it, provided invaluable comic relief. They were also aided by a dim-bulbed, scatter-brained, flippant nightclub singer and photographer named Chryseis "Cricket" Blake (Connie Stevens). Later joining the team was private eye Greg MacKenzie (Grant Williams), an old friend of Tom's from the mainland. Troy Donahue came along in the last season as hotel social director Philip Barton. Lt. Danny Quon was their contact on the police force who was always on call to provide any vital information that could help the Eyes crack a case.

When he returned from the office at day's end, to his wife Dorothy, and his young son Harold, he entered the world of Hazel. Hazel was the maid and housekeeper who ran the Baxxter household more efficiently than George ran his office. She was always right, knew exactly what needed doing, and pre-empted his authority with alarming, though, justified regularity

It starred Broderick Crawford as Chief Dan Matthews, the gruff and dedicated commander of a police force in a large, unidentified Western state. A signature shot of the series was fedora-wearing Matthews barking "10-4!" and other rapid-fire dialogue into a radio-microphone as he leaned against the door of his patrol car (call sign ID# "2150"). There were no other regular cast members but William Boyett, later behind the badge again as Sgt. MacDonald in Adam-12, made numerous appearances as Sgt. Ken Williams and Officer Johnson. In the early seasons the series was provided with technical assistance by the California Highway Patrol. The Dodges and Buicks used as police vehicles were designed to resemble the then-current CHP fleet in both paint scheme and door insignias. It was also famous for its location shooting - in rural and desert areas of southern California - in the still very studio-bound early years of television (it was produced from 1955-1959), and like most Ziv series, had its repeats syndicated for many years afterward.

Starring Dale Robertson

The Iron Horse is an American Western television series that appeared on ABC from 1966 to 1968. It featured Dale Robertson as fictional gambler-turned-railroad baron Ben Calhoun. Costars included Gary Collins, Robert Random and Ellen Burstyn.

The plot centered around Calhoun's poker game-win of the incomplete Buffalo Pass, Scalplock & Defiance Railroad and his wide-ranging attempts to finish the line despite odds that were ever-present. Much of the external footage involving trains was shot on the historic Sierra Railroad in and around Jamestown and Sonora, California, produced by Screen Gems. In its first season, The Iron Horse outdistanced part of its competition on CBS, Run, Buddy, Run starring Jack Sheldon, which was cancelled after sixteen segments but later captured interest from Baby Boomers on the Internet..

SELECTION OF 121 EPISODES on 26 Dvds

Premiered: January 2, 1953 Last Aired: August 1, 1958

The Life of Riley, with William Bendix in the title role, was a popular radio situation comedy series of the 1940s that was adapted into a 1949 feature film and continued as a long-running television series during the 1950s, originally with Jackie Gleason playing Bendix's role. The show began as a proposed Groucho Marx radio series, The Flotsam Family, but the sponsor balked at what would have been essentially a straight head-of-household role for the comedian. Then producer Irving Brecher saw Bendix as taxicab company owner Tim McGuerin in the movie The McGuerins from Brooklyn (1942). The Flotsam Family was reworked with Bendix cast as blundering Chester A. Riley, a wing riveter at the fictional Cunningham Aircraft plant in California. His frequent exclamation of indignation became one of the most famous catch phrases of the 1940s: "What a revoltin' development this is!" The radio series also benefited from the immense popularity of a supporting character, Digby "Digger" O'Dell (John Brown), "the friendly undertaker."
Riley worked in an aircraft plant in California, but viewers usually saw him at home, cheerfully disrupting life with his malapropisms and ill timed intervention into minor problems. His stock answer to every turn of fate became a catch phrase: 'What a revoltin' development this is!"

The Danny Thomas Show (known as Make Room for Daddy during the first four seasons) is a sitcom which ran from 1953 to 1957 on ABC and from 1957 to 1964 on CBS. A revival series known as Make Room for Granddaddy aired on ABC from 1970 to 1971

Danny Thomas played Danny Williams, a successful comedian and nightclub entertainer. Jean Hagen was his wife Margaret, Sherry Jackson their daughter Terry, and Rusty Hamer their son Rusty. Louise Beavers played the maid Louise. In 1955, Beavers left and was replaced in the role by Amanda Randolph. In 1956, Jean Hagen quit the show, and the producers had her character written out as having died making the character the first to be "killed off" in a sitcom. The following season, Thomas' character dated several women, with the help of his children. At the end of the season, he met widowed Kathy O'Hara, played by Marjorie Lord, who had a young daughter, Linda, played by Angela Cartwright. No wedding was ever shown, but when the show returned in 1957, with the new title, Danny and Kathy were married, and Linda was adopted by Danny, and the show's ratings dramatically increased
Make Room for Daddy followed the misadventures in the lives of the Williams family. Danny Williams, a nightclub entertainer, (a character almost identical to that of Danny Thomas himself) tries to strike a balance between family life and the entertainment business.

The Man from U.N.C.L.E. is an American television series that was broadcast on NBC from September 22, 1964, to January 15, 1968.

There were 105 episodes (see 1964 in television and 1968 in television) created by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer that made up this series. The first season was broadcast in black-and-white. [1] The series centered on a two-man troubleshooting team for a covert espionage organization: American Napoleon Solo (Robert Vaughn), and Russian Illya Kuryakin (David McCallum). Leo G. Carroll played Alexander Waverly, the British head of the organization. Lisa Rogers (Barbara Moore) joined the cast as a female regular in the fourth season. James Bond creator Ian Fleming contributed to the show's creation. The book The James Bond Films reveals that Fleming's TV concept had two characters: Napoleon Solo and April Dancer (The Girl from U.N.C.L.E.). ("Mr. Solo" was originally the name of a crime boss in Fleming's Goldfinger.) Robert Towne and Harlan Ellison wrote scripts for the series, which was originally to have been titled Solo. Author Michael Avallone, who wrote the first original novel based upon the series (see below), is sometimes incorrectly cited as the creator of the series (such as in the January 1967 issue of The Saint Magazine). At one point, Fleming's name was to have been connected more directly with the series. The cover of the original prospectus for the series showed the title Ian Fleming's Solo.[1] Solo was originally slated to be the "solo" star of the series, the only "Man". But a minor walk-on by a Russian agent named Illya Kuryakin caught fire with the fans, and the two were permanently paired. Robert Vaughn as Napoleon Solo
David McCallum as Illya Nikovetch Kuryakin

Napoleon Solo and Illya Kullyakin are the two agents of the United Network Command for Law Enforcement, who fight evil (primarily an organization of Bad people called, THRUSH) and use charm, wit, and a never ending assortment of gadgets. Ran for 4 years

Other characters included: Dr. Arthur Harmon; Walter's conservative best friend from their Army days. He and Maude were always at odds when it came to politics and just about everything, Vivian Cavender-Harmon; Maude's naieve best friend from their college days who married Harmon in season three; During the show's run, Maude had gone through three maids during the series run: Florida Evans, Nell Naugutuck and Victoria Butterfield. Mrs. Naugutuck and Florida, however, were the most memorable. Although it was a situation comedy, it dealt with serious and often controversial issues, much like Norman Lear's other shows "All In The Family" "One Day At a Time" and "Good Times."

Maverick is a comedy-western television series created by Roy Huggins that ran from September 22, 1957 to July 8, 1962 on ABC and featured James Garner, Jack Kelly, Roger Moore, and Robert Colbert as the poker-playing traveling Mavericks (Bret, Bart, Beau, & Brent). Moore and Colbert were later additions, though there were never more than two current Mavericks in the series at any given time, and sometimes only one

Brett and Bart Maverick (and in later seasons, their English cousin, Bo) are well dressed gamblers who migrate from town to town always looking for a good game. Poker (5 card draw) is their favorite but they've been known to play such odd card games as Three-toed Sloth on occasion. The show would occasionally feature both or all three Mavericks, but usually would rotate the central character from week to week. Cross-over appearances from the other Warner Brothers western programs were an occasional feature. First seen as a drama, the show began to develop a sense of humor in the first season that carried it through it's run.

My Friend Flicka (1956) on 11 Dvds $18.99

COMPLETE ALL 39 EPISODES on 11 Dvds
Quality is 7.5 out 10

My Friend Flicka is a 1941 novel by Mary O'Hara, about Ken McLaughlin, the son of a Wyoming rancher, and his horse Flicka. It was the first in a trilogy, followed by Thunderhead, Son of Flicka (1943) and Green Grass of Wyoming (1946). The popular 1943 film version featured a young Roddy McDowall. It was followed by film adaptations of the other two novels, in 1945 and 1948, and by a television series (1956-1958) that first aired on CBS, then on NBC, followed by reruns on ABC and on CBS between 1959 and 1966.

Ken McLaughlin is a ten-year-old boy who lives on a remote Wyoming ranch, the Goose Bar, with his father, Rob; his mother, Nell; and his older brother, Howard. Rob is often impatient with Ken because he daydreams when he should be attending to practical matters; Nell, however, shares her son's sensitive nature and is more sympathetic. Several years before, Howard was allowed to choose and train a colt from among the Goose Bar herd but, although Ken loves horses, Rob doesn't think his wool-gathering son deserves such a privelege. At the beginning of the novel, Ken has again angered his father by returning home from boarding school with failing grades. This means he will have to repeat a grade – an expense Rob can ill afford. Nonetheless, Nell eventually persuades Rob to let Ken choose a colt of his own. Ken looks over the available young horses, unable to decide; then he sees a golden sorrel filly running swiftly away from him one day, and makes his choice. Rob, once again, is annoyed with his son; this particular filly has a strain of mustang blood that makes her very wild – "loco", in ranch idiom. All the Goose Bar horses with the same strain have been fast, beautiful, but utterly untameable, and after many years of trying to break one of them, Rob has decided to get rid of them all. Ken persists, however, and Rob reluctantly agrees to let him have the filly. When Rob and Ken go out to capture her, she lives up to her family reputation: she tries to escape by leaping an impossibly high barbed wire fence and injures herself severely. This gives Ken an opportunity to tame the filly by gently nursing her back to health. He names her Flicka – Swedish for 'little girl' – and spends hours every day tending to her needs and keeping her company. Flicka gradually comes to love and trust the boy; however, her barbed wire wounds cause a dangerous blood infection and she begins to waste away. She grows so thin and weak that Rob decides that she must be shot to put her out of her misery. The night before the order is to be carried out, Flicka wades into a shallow brook, stumbles, falls, and is unable to rise. Ken finds her there and spends the rest of the night sitting in the water, holding her head in his arms. Although Ken nearly dies from exposure, the cold running water cures Flicka's fever, and all ends well. ..

Night Gallery is Rod Serling's follow-up series to The Twilight Zone that aired on NBC from 1970 to 1973. Serling functioned both as the on-air host of Night Gallery and as a major contributor of scripts, although he did not have the same control of content and tone as he did on Twilight Zone.

Serling appeared in an art gallery setting and introduced the macabre tales that made up each episode by unveiling paintings (by artist Tom Wright) depicting the stories. Night Gallery regularly presented adaptations of classic fantasy tales by authors such as H. P. Lovecraft as well as original works, many by Serling himself. The series was introduced with a pilot TV movie that aired November 8, 1969, featuring the directorial debut of Steven Spielberg and one of the last acting performances by Joan Crawford. Unlike the series, where the paintings merely accompanied an introduction to the upcoming story, the paintings themselves actually appeared in the three segments, serving major or minor plot functions. Night Gallery was nominated for an Emmy Award for its first-season episode "They're Tearing Down Tim Riley's Bar" as the Outstanding Single Program on U.S. television in 1971. In 1972, the series received another nomination (Outstanding Achievement in Makeup) for the second season episode "Pickman’s Model."!!!!

The Overland Trail was a pioneer trail beginning at several different points. Parts of it were based on traditional Native American trails, and it connected to the Great Trail which led back to the East Coast. Beginning in Omaha, Nebraska, the Overland Trail followed the Great Platte River Road and the Sweetwater River in the Nebraska Territory across the plains to the South Pass of the Rocky Mountains. There it crossed the Continental Divide, eventually splitting near Fort Hall. Between 1840 and 1860 more than a quarter of a million emigrants (immigrants) used a variety of transportation, including stagecoaches and covered wagons, to make the trek. The journey across Overland Trails took pioneers 2,000 miles and around seven months. Most groups traveled at a pace of fifteen miles a day. Few traveled the Overland Trails alone . Most of the settlers traveled with their families. Large groups of pioneers joined together to form "trains." Groups were usually led by "pilots" who were fur trappers or mountain men that would guide them on the trails. The journey over the trails usually began in the spring to avoid traveling in the winter. Many people died on the journey due to disease or accidents. Attacks by Native Americans were rare. Many made the journey to California and Oregon because they saw these new lands as a place of endless opportunity. Once the Transcontinental railroad was completed in 1869, the wagon train era ended because settlers could now journey to the west coast safely in a fraction of the time. .

The Range Rider was an American Western TV series, which was first shown from 1951 to 1953. A single lost episode was first shown in 1959. It was also shown on British television in the 1960s. Jock Mahoney played the title character in 79 B&W 30-minute episodes, along with partner Dick West, played by Dick Jones. The character had no name other than Range Rider and his reputation for fairness, fighting ability and accuracy with his guns was known far and wide, even by Indians. Mahoney towered over Jones giving the idea that Dick West was a kid instead of a normal sized adult.

The Range Rider (Jock Mahoney) went around the West doing good deeds. Primarily a kids show, the Raneg Rider also starred Dick Jones as Dick West. The 6'4" Mahoney was a former stunt man whose athletic skills became legendary as he performed his own, often difficult stunts on the show. Mahoney went on to become Yancy Derringer and Jones to be Buffalo Bill Jr.

Roaring Twenties is a phrase used to describe the 1920s, principally in North America, that emphasizes the period's social, artistic, and cultural dynamism. Normalcy returned to politics in the wake of World War I, jazz music blossomed, the flapper redefined modern womanhood, Art Deco peaked, and finally the Wall Street Crash of 1929 served to punctuate the end of the era, as The Great Depression set in. The era was further distinguished by several inventions and discoveries of far-reaching importance, unprecedented industrial growth and accelerated consumer demand and aspirations, and significant changes in lifestyle. The social and societal upheaval known as the Roaring Twenties began in North America and spread to Europe in the aftermath of World War I. Europe spent these years rebuilding and coming to terms with the vast human cost of the conflict. The Government of the United States did little to aid Europe, opting rather for an isolationist stance. By the middle of the decade, economic development soared in Europe, and the Roaring Twenties broke out in Germany (the Weimar Republic), Britain and France, the second half of the decade becoming known as the "Golden Twenties". In France and francophone Canada, they were also called the "années folles" ("Crazy Years")..

Niven and Boyer were two of the owners of Four Star Television, the show's production company. Although sometimes appearing together, the three leads tended to rotate appearances as their schedules permitted, which meant that Young helmed more shows since he was less busy otherwise than Niven or Boyer; midway through the season Larry Hagman was brought aboard to help fill in for Young, who had been the lead in most episodes. Also lending continuity was the presences of Gladys Cooper and Robert Coote, who appeared as supporting players in most episodes. Guest villains included Walter Matthau, Everett Sloane, George Sanders, and Telly Savalas.

Scarecrow and Mrs King (1983) on 16 Dvds $28.99

All 88 Episodes
aired from: Oct 1983 to: May 1987
Quality is 8 of 10

Scarecrow and Mrs. King was an American television series that aired from October 3, 1983, to May 28, 1987 on CBS. The show starred Kate Jackson and Bruce Boxleitner.
Scarecrow and Mrs. King was an espionage television series with an unusual twist. Lee Stetson, codename "Scarecrow" (Boxleitner), is a top-level agent for the fictitious CIA-like "Agency", who inadvertently embroils divorced housewife Amanda King (Jackson) in his mission. Amanda is too inquisitive to leave well enough alone, and with each episode becomes more and more involved with the Agency and with Lee. She starts just "helping", but by the end of the series she is a full agent. This show relied heavily on a Cold War mentality, and most of the plots involved Soviet spies. Eventually the romantic nature of Lee and Amanda's relationship ceased to be clandestine, and they started talking about marriage. They did marry, but their marriage was never revealed to other characters. Amanda's sons meet Lee as her boyfriend, not her husband

Science Fiction Theatre is a syndicated science fiction anthology series. It was produced in the United States by Ivan Tors and Maurice Ziv. Hosted by Truman Bradley, a 1940s film actor and former war correspondent, each episode introduced stories which had an extrapolated scientific, or pseudo-scientific emphasis based on actual scientific data available in the 1950s. The program concentrated on such concepts as space flight, robots, telepathy, flying saucers, time travel, and the intervention of extraterrestrials in human affairs. It ran from 1955 to 1957, with a total of 78 half hour episodes. It was also known as Beyond The Limits in second run syndication during the 1960s and alternatively as Science Fiction Theater.

Sea Hunt was an American television adventure series from syndicator Ziv TV that ran from 1958 to 1961 and was popular in syndication for decades afterwards. 155 episodes were produced in all. The program followed the adventures of scuba diver Mike Nelson, an ex-Navy frogman turned freelance diver, played by Lloyd Bridges. He outmaneuvered villains, salvaged everything from a bicycle to a nuclear missile, and rescued a downed Air Force pilot (in his sunken jet, in the pilot episode), children trapped in a flooded cave, and even a dog. One unusual aspect of the series was that at the end of each episode, Bridges made a plea to protect the oceans.
After Bridges was cast, he was given a crash course on scuba diving by Courtney Brown, who would serve as his underwater stunt double. Over the course of the show's run, Bridges would get more involved in the underwater stunt work, graduating from close-ups in the earliest episodes, to doing all but the most dangerous stunts by the end of the series' run.
The series served as a stepping stone for some of Hollywood's most notable actors, including Leonard Nimoy, Robert Conrad, Bruce Dern, Larry Hagman, Jack Nicholson (in the last episode of the series) and Bridges' own sons, Beau and Jeff.
The underwater sequences were filmed in a matrix fashion at many locations including studio tanks and outdoor locations in California, Florida, and eventually the Bahamas. Large quantities of stock footage were shot and later mixed with episode-specific character footage. Filming locations included Marineland of the Pacific (Park operated 1954-1987), the front side of Catalina Island, Paradise Cove west of Malibu, Silver Springs, Florida, Cypress Gardens, Florida, Tarpon Springs, Florida, Nassau, and Grand Bahama Island. On-land location shots were filmed throughout Los Angeles, central Florida, and Nassau, or on a soundstage.

SEAQUEST DVS/2032 COMPLETE

[TV-Series 1993-1996]
By the mid-21st Century, humankind has colonized the oceans and formed
the UEO--the United Earth Oceans--as a military organization to police
it. Formerly a high-ranking member of the UEO, Nathan Bridger retired
after the death of his wife, and retreated to an isolated island to
study dolphins. An attempt is made to hijack the Seaquest DSV, the
UEO's most powerful undersea vessel, and Nathan--its original
designer--is convinced to return to active service, to assume command
of it. His second in command is Cmdr. Jonathan Ford. In second season,
the DSV added Dagwood, a prototype GELF (Genetically Engineered Life
Form), Tony Piccolo, a man with surgically implanted gills, and Dr.
Wendy Smith, a telepath/empath, to its crew of specialists. The series
has New Age leanings, often presenting stories that deal with
environmental issues or mix myth and mysticism--from ghosts to
"gods"--into its science fiction.
a total of 58 shows.
Trivia: During the third season, several episodes were shown out of
order. As a consequence, the character of Lt. Brody dies in one
episode and then reappears in a later one.

SMOTHER BROTHERS COMEDY SHOW COLLECTION

Welcome to The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour
This summary includes the 1967-1969 CBS and 1970 ABC variations. Considered by many as a "poster show" for the First Amendment, The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour didn't quite begin that way. Less than a year after the cancellation of a sitcom also on CBS, the network gave Tom and Dick Smothers another chance with a variety series. This time, the formula worked. The sibling rivalry continued with aplomb, and the show was a better showcase for their musical and comedic talents. Not to mention the high-caliber talent who guested on the show.
This is just 7 dvds of one of the funniest shows that hit the screen in the 1970's.. Great Collection and one You will watch over and over.

 Spin City (1996) on 28 DVDs $43.99

aired from: Sep 1996 to: Apr 2002
Quality is 8 of 10

In this sitcom, Deputy Mayor Charlie Crawford and his City Hall staff must stop the dim-witted Mayor of New York City from embarrassing himself infront of the media and the voters. The staff consists of Caitlin Moore the Communications Director, Carter Haywood the head of Minority Affairs, Stuart Bondack the Chief of Staff, and Paul Lassider the Press Secretary.

This situation comedy takes place in New York's City Hall. It centers on Mike Flaherty, the deputy mayor, who has to protect the slightly moronic mayor, Randall Winston from those who want to ruin his political career, and from himself, cause he is constantly making an ass of himself and Mike has try and make sure that his little escapades are either not mad public or have very little negative effect on the mayor. Helping Mike is Carter, probably the least quirky member of the mayor's staff and Nikki and James. Stuart and Paul are two members of the staff who cause just as much problems. Mike's secretary, who joined the show during the second season was Stacy. Mike's girlfriend during the first season was Ashley, but the character was dropped, his next girlfriend, during the following season was Laurie, and during the third season it was Nikki, and in the fourth season it was Caitlin Moore, the mayor's campaign manager. Michael J. Fox would leave the show after the fourth season. During the next season, the new deputy mayor would be Charlie Crawford.

quality of 7-7.5 of 10

Sugarfoot is the title of a TV western that aired from 1957 to 1961. The series featured Will Hutchins as fledgling frontier lawyer Tom Brewster and Jack Elam as sidekick Toothy Thompson. Brewster was a correspondence-school graduate whose apparent lack of cowboy skills earned him the peculiar nickname "Sugarfoot".
The show had no relation to the 1951 movie Sugarfoot, but its pilot episode was a remake of an offbeat 1954 Western called The Boy from Oklahoma, starring Will Rogers, Jr. as Tom Brewster. As played by Rogers in the movie, Brewster never used firearms, preferring to vanquish villains with his roping skills (ŕ la Will Rogers Sr.) if friendly persuasion failed. Perhaps for practical reasons, the pilot altered the character slightly, making Brewster reluctant to use firearms, but able and willing to do so as a last resort. That was the way he remained throughout the series, and the title song even mentioned that he carried a rifle as well as law book.
Sugarfoot was one of the earliest products of the alliance between ABC and the fledgling Warner Brothers Television Department, chaired by William T. Orr. During the same period, other similar shows would appear, including Maverick with James Garner and Jack Kelly, Cheyenne with Clint Walker, Bronco with Ty Hardin, Lawman with John Russell, and Colt .45 with Wayde Preston. Hutchins appeared as Sugarfoot in crossover episodes of Cheyenne and Maverick, and in an installment of Bronco called "The Yankee Tornado" featuring Peter Breck as the young Theodore Roosevelt...

COMPLETE ALL 44 EPISODES
Quality is 7.5 of 10

Time Trax is an American/Australian co-produced science fiction television series that first aired in 1993. It is about a police officer who has been sent through time to track down and return convicted criminals who have escaped into the past. This was the last new production from Lorimar Television.
In the year 2193, over a hundred criminals became fugitives of law enforcement by travelling back in time two hundred years, using a time machine called Trax. Darien Lambert (Dale Midkiff) was a police detective of that period who was sent back to 1993 in order to apprehend as many of the fugitives as possible. He was assisted by the Specified Encapsulated Limitless Memory Archive, or SELMA (Elizabeth Alexander), an extremely small but very powerful computer (described as equivalent to a mainframe) disguised for the mission as an AT&T MasterCard and communicated through a holographic interface which took the visual form of a prim British nanny. Lambert was also equipped with an MPPT (Micro-Pellet Projection Tube) disguised as a keyless car alarm remote, which could stun the target or engulf the target in an energy field which would render him transportable to the future, at which point Selma would execute the transmission sequence to send the criminal on his way. Lambert's biggest enemy was Dr. Mordecai Sahmbi (Peter Donat), who was responsible for sending the fugitives to 1993, and who tried several times to kill him. Captain Lambert, fearing the possible consequences of altering the timeline, did not actively attempt to interfere with the natural flow of history, although he frequently left messages for his colleagues in 2193 (via the 'personals' sections of assorted newspapers). The series made occasional allusions to a theory of parallel timelines as a way of skirting the issue of temporal paradox, impling that the time travellers went into an alternate past so that their actions there had no effect on the 2193 "present.".

Sometimes they traveled into the future, and battled alien invaders. Ann MacGregor, Gen. Kirk and Dr. Swain are the scientists trying to fix the malfunctioning Time Tunnel and bring Doug and Tony back to the present (1968).

 Topper (1953) on 9 Dvds $16.99

SELECTION OF 42 EPISODES
aired from: Oct 1953 to: July 1955
Quality is 7 of 10

Topper was a television situation comedy series based on the 1930s film series Topper.
The thrust of the story is that the sophisticated Cosmo Topper (Leo G. Carroll) is vice-president of a bank. He is married to the sweet but somewhat dumb Henrietta (Lee Patrick). They live in a house in a Los Angeles suburb that they bought from the estate of a fashionable young couple, George and Marion Kerby (Robert Sterling and Anne Jeffreys), now-former clients of Topper's bank, who died after being swept away by an avalanche. Their St. Bernard, Neil, who was unable to rescue them, also died with them. Cosmo finds that his house is haunted by their ghosts and that of their alcoholic St. Bernard. Only Cosmo can see or hear them.
The ghosts try to put some excitement and joy into the life of the somewhat stodgy and conservative Cosmo. In action that would anticipate the later series Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie, the ghosts would cause strange (but very humorous) events to happen, for which an embarrassed Cosmo would have to create some kind of explanation to others who would be baffled, and often even amusingly frightened, by seeing them.
The show ran on CBS from 1953 to 1955. 78 episodes were produced. Both ABC and NBC later aired repeats of these episodes (ABC in 1955 and NBC in 1956). In later decades Topper would be popular in syndication..

Trackdown was a 1957-1959 CBS Western television series starring Robert Culp as Texas Ranger Hoby Gilman, a gunslinger hunting down criminals throughout the Old West. Trackdown was a spin-off of CBS's Dick Powell's Zane Grey Theater.
Steve McQueen first appeared as bounty hunter Josh Randall in an episode which served as the pilot of his own subsequent series, Wanted: Dead or Alive, a spin-off of Trackdown launched the following year. Both series were brilliantly acted half-hour adult programs filmed in black and white with interesting directors; Sam Peckinpah directed some of Trackdown, while Richard Donner directed three installments of McQueen's series. Series star Robert Culp also wrote and directed several Trackdown episodes, and many installments were based on actual case files of the Texas Rangers, adding to the series' realism. Series regulars included Ellen Corby (who later went on to star in "the Waltons") , Norman Leavitt, James Griffith, Gail Kobe, and Peter Leeds. Trackdown was produced by Four Star Productions and was filmed at the Desilu-Culver Studio. Culp's character, Texas Ranger Hoby Gilman, was based in the real- life town of Porter , Texas, an unincorporated community near Houston , where he served as de facto sheriff. Occasionally, his duties as a Texas Ranger took him out of town, using his fast gun to apprehend wanted criminals throughout the Lone Star State. His friends included Henrietta Porter (Corby} , widow of the town's founder, and owner of The Porter Enterprise, the local newspaper , and Tenner Smith (Leeds}, owner of the local saloon, a former gambler and gunslinger who's past was shrouded in mystery.

Voyage chronicled the adventures of the world's first privately owned nuclear submarine, the SSRN Seaview. Though the show is known for its few "monster" episodes, many plots were veiled commentaries of what was happening in the news. Such plotlines as nuclear doomsday, pollution of natural resources, foreign threat, and theft of American technology are all still relevant today...

Phineas Bogg is a member of a group people called Voyagers. They help history along. Give it a push where it's needed. He is a regular human that was living as a pirate a few hundred years ago, when he was chosen to be a voyager. He travels by way of a gold pocket watch like device called an omni. When the light is flashing red, it means history is wrong. His job is to fix it. In the pilot episode, Bogg ends up in 1982 when his omni malfunctions. (He is only supposed to be able to go as far as 1970.) He ends up in the apartment where 12 year old Jeffery Jones and his aunt and uncle live. (Jones parents were recently killed in an accident.) While there, Jeffery's dog grabs hold of Bogg's guide book (basically a history book.) Bogg being a pretty inept history person has no clue what to do without his book. One thing leads to another and Jeffery falls out of the building's window. The only way to save him is for Bogg to jump out after him and travel through time.  Wanted: Dead or Alive 16 Dvd $28.99

aired from: Sep 1958 to: Mar 1960
Quality is 8 of 10

Wanted: Dead or Alive is an American Western television show that ran for three seasons from 1958 to 1961, starred Steve McQueen as Josh Randall. The series was a spin-off of Trackdown (1957-59), a western TV series featuring Robert Culp as a Texas Ranger..
Josh Randall is a bounty hunter with a relatively soft heart. He often donates his earnings to the needy, and will help his prisoners if they have been wrongly accused. Randall carries a shortened Winchester 1892 Model carbine, called the "Mare's Leg," in a holster patterned after "gunslinger" rigs then popular in movies and television. (This 1892 gun is anachronistic since Josh Randall is referred to in many episodes as a Confederate States of America Army veteran.)

The Westerner is a 1960 Four Star Television Western series on NBC created by Sam Peckinpah. The series stars Brian Keith as Dave Blassingame and features John Dehner as semi-regular Burgundy Smith. The critically acclaimed show ran for only thirteen episodes, one of which, "Line Camp," was the basis for the 1968 Charlton Heston film Will Penny. The pilot for The Westerner appeared on CBS's Dick Powell's Zane Grey Theater. The musical score was largely the work of Four Star's Herschel Burke Gilbert. For rerun syndication, it was grouped with three other short-lived Western series from the same company, Black Saddle starring Peter Breck, Johnny Ringo starring Don Durant, and Law of the Plainsman starring Michael Ansara, under the umbrella title The Westerners, bracketed with hosting sequences featuring Keenan Wynn.!!!

To avenge the murder of his brother, motorcycle police officer Jay, Barry demands that Tina modify a red S.T.A.R. Labs prototype deep sea diving suit, designed to withstand tremendous pressures, into his costume, to which she reluctantly complies. Thus, Barry Allen becomes The Flash.
